The Green (WO)man Series explores the balance of masculine and feminine energies within nature and ourselves and humanity’s interconnectedness with nature, emphasizing that we are nature.
This series was inspired by a profound experience in the native bush of Wānaka, where a spiritual teacher called down light energy balls that danced around our group. Their energy intensified as our laughter grew, multiplying and playfully bouncing around us. These normally mysterious unseen nature’s guardians, elemental, divas who protect the land’s vitality now magically appear.
Mushroom GreenMan (1) channels the Mushroom Spirit, merging the Green Man archetype with extraterrestrial-like energy. Magic mushrooms offer a gateway into visionary experiences, revealing unseen realms. This work envisions not what the spirits looked like but what they felt like in their playful, transformative presence, inviting viewers into a deeper connection with nature’s mysteries.
